LC United is the developmentive division of LCSA (Lake Cities Soccer Association) and offers young players a developmental experience above the challenge of playing recreational soccer and strives to supplement recreational play, NOT to replace it. The focus of LCU is on development and not on competitive play or selecting a league champion. Players wishing to play on a more challenging level will have an outlet available to them for performance based soccer. The goal is to create a better program on the whole and LC United will offer Coaching Clinics to LCSA Coaches and Managers while also offering top level skills training for all players through our skills camps.
Much like other associations in North Texas, we are striving to improve the development and overall experience of each child within our program. What has been discovered is that by doing so, the overall experience of every child is improved. Recreational soccer should remain FUN while allowing those children that are developing faster a venue to enhance those skills, but not take on the demands of a total performance based program at a younger age.
"Soccer is an art not a science and the game should be played attractively as well as effectively. Soccer is a game of skill, imagination, creativity and decision-making. Coaching should not stifle, but enhance those elements."
